奥运选手、校友 Connor Bell 重返西湖男校，与"未来体育"项目学生分享心路历程

本周，我们荣幸地邀请到奥运选手、西湖校友 Connor Bell（2019 届）在学校的"未来体育 (Future Sport)"项目中发表演讲。
这位前铁饼运动员分享了他在世界舞台上竞技的起起落落，以及为踏上巴黎奥运会所付出的努力。
他说，成功往往不在于天赋，而更在于持之以恒；顶尖运动员的特质，是日复一日重复同样训练的强大能力。
Connor 也谈到，当竞技体育不再契合他的人生目标时，选择离开便成了一个自然而然的决定。
他强调了身边拥有良师益友的重要性，鼓励同学们在毕业后勇于追求高远目标、乐于拥抱新机遇、并保持不断探索的心态。

The former discus thrower spoke about the highs and lows of competing on the world stage and what it took to reach the Paris Olympics.
He said success is often less about talent and more about consistency, describing elite athletes as having a high capacity to do the same work day after day.
Connor also said stepping away became an easy decision once elite sport no longer aligned with his life goals.
He spoke about the importance of having good people in your corner, not being afraid to aim high after school, being open to new opportunities, and to keep exploring.
We'd like to thank Connor for taking the time to return to Westlake and share his experiences with the next generation of athletes.
